Bacause of a contamination in the soil and the groundwater caused by the operation of the former ethylene factory of the Tiszatextil Ltd, in Tiszaújváros, our company was assigned by the Tisza Vegyi Kombinát Inc. to do the remediation. During our operations we used air-stripping technology, emulsion separation and skimming to treat 645 014 m3 of groundwater, and skim about 84 litres of free phase oil. Soil treatment was carried out with soil-aeration by using an air-sparging system.
