The FORENVIRON Ltd. gave us an assignment to remediate
the hydrocarbon contamination in the groundwater, to operate the remediating
system at the depot of the FÁÜ inc. (PEPSI-COLA) in the district XXIII. of
Budapest at Helsinki út 121-123. During the remediation about 600 000 m³
water was yielded from the involved gravelly, sandy formation and cleaned with
a loaded air-stripping water cleaning equipment. Also 39,8 m³ NAPL (Non-Aqueous
Phase Liquid) was skimmed and transported for disposal. The follow-up monitoring
verified that the contamination the area was completely eliminated.
